We are a busy title insurance company and real estate law practice seeking a Junior Title Processor who will be responsible for efficiently handling various tasks related to title processing, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of Lawyers Express Title's administrative and operational functions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills, as well as familiarity with Qualia software.  The Junior Title Processor plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our title processing operations. This position offers an opportunity for growth and development within our organization.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Review new orders: ensure the completeness and accuracy of incoming orders and verify essential information and required documentation
  • Open files: initiate and organize new files according to established procedures and record and file all necessary information accurately.
  • Contract review: scrutinize contracts to extract relevant details affecting title processing and identify and communicate any discrepancies or missing information.
  • Order title work: utilize Qualia software to order and track title searches and related services and monitor and follow up on outstanding title work for timely completion.
  • Review title work: conduct initial review title reports from abstractors for potential issues or concerns and collaborate with senior team members to address and resolve identified title problems
  • Order payoffs: request and obtain key information including but not limited to payoffs, judgment liens, taxes and water; ensure accurate reporting of these in Qualia and assist senior processors and remote workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or coursework in real estate or a related field is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in real estate or title processing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Qualia software or similar title processing software is highly beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving processes and technology.

Eastern Title & Settlement is seeking a full-time, on-site Processor/Post Closer/Manager role located in Rockville, MD. As a Processor, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing all loan documents in order to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all applicable guidelines, laws, rules, and regulations. As a Post Closer, you will be responsible for managing the post-closing process, reviewing all approved loan applications to ensure all necessary documents are in place, and working with all involved parties to address any post-closing document requirements. As a Manager, you will in charge of overseeing both the Processor and Post Closer activities as well as any business general management activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational and time-management skills are necessary for the role
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize work, and work independently while following established procedures.
  • Familiarity with loan regulations, policies, and procedures as well as title/escrow knowledge and requirements for post-closing.

If you have a strong background in title processing, post-closing procedures, real estate transactions, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to exceptional customer service, we encourage you to apply today! This is an In-Person Position in Pasadena, MD

Responsibilities would include:

  • Document Analysis: Examine and verify the accuracy of various documentation, including public records, deeds, property title records, property ownership documents, leases, surveys, contracts, and agreements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in the title documentation, collaborating with relevant parties to resolve issues promptly and clear all title issues that may arise prior to closing.
  • Administrative Support: Assist settlement officers with essential administrative duties, encompassing clerical tasks and data entry.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with title examiners and underwriters to prepare title insurance policies, binders, and title commitments as well as preparing closing disclosure statements as well as closing documents. Collaborate with real estate professionals to facilitate smooth and efficient transactions.
  • Communication: Maintain communication with team members and real estate professionals to ensure all necessary items are complete. Coordinate with all parties to verify accurate settlement figures. Stay in contact with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders throughout the closing process
  • Transaction Completion: Possess ownership and direct accountability to ensure the client has a seamless settlement.
  • Professional Demeanor: Possesses qualities such as punctuality, reliability, preparedness, a proactive attitude, and flexibility.

Skills:

  • Superb research, communication, customer service and analysis skills.
  • Notary public certification is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • Settlement Officer License preferred but not mandatory.
  • 3+ years of experience in real estate transactions, title processing and post-closing.
  • Technical Proficiency: •Intermediate proficiency with various programs including MS Office, Excel, and Title Express.
